Valentine's Day

Roses are red,
violets are blue,
flowers from boys are best,
but visiting teachers are nice too.

Hope everyone had a wonderful, love-filled weekend!

Facebook Here I Come!

Nothing seems official anymore unless it's on Facebook.

"I don't know if I'd call her a friend - we're not even friends on Facebook."

"Sally and Joe are officially dating! They just changed their relationship statuses on Facebook."

The JIMMER LOVE page on Facebook, anyone?

Needless to say, I thought it was high time I put my services on Facebook and made myself OFFICIAL. So "like" me on Facebook and spread the word!

As always, I will continue to post to the blog.

Thanks to all of you who have been supportive of me and my pursuits the last couple years! I couldn't have made it this far without you.

Website

Guess what? I created a website for my photography! It's not as spiffy as the ones you pay people to design for you, but it looks pretty legit for being free off the internet.

I will continue to post to my blog but now there is a website with which you can contact me and refer others to my services.

(Special thanks to Brigitte for motivating me to really get on this!)

Portrait - Brigitte

I absolutely loved this photo shoot! Brigitte is a pre-med student planning on serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints starting this summer. Brigitte is bright, intelligent, hard working, yet a lot of fun. She and I have had several life science classes together, and it was a nice change of pace to be able to share this more artistic side of me. Thank you for taking an interest in my work, Brigitte!

Portrait - Natalie

I first met Natalie a year and a half ago in a Korean 101 course at BYU. She's planning in majoring in a program that allows her to utilize her Korean and/or Chinese language skills - I am all for a beautiful girl with Asian pride! I still think she can pass for half Korean. Natalie is also involved in dance at BYU, and is a member of the hip-hop group Club Style. I was grateful for the opportunity to use her as a model. It was a pretty cold day, so we were forced indoors for the majority of the shoot. Thanks for a great time, Natalie!

Personal - Home Cooking

Being home means being able to enjoy all of the culinary delights of my mother, whose Korean dishes are the best I've ever had. Just because I'm biased doesn't mean it's not true! One of my all time favorite dishes of hers is something like 탕수육 (tahng soo yook) - it's marinated beef strips coated in a potato starch batter and deep fried. Donkatsu or "bulldog" sauce is the dip of choice, but it can also be served sweet and sour style with veggies. My favorite part of watching my mom cook is being able to "taste test" before dinner ;)
